LEAGUE CITY, Texas – Investigators are piecing together what led up to a woman’s death after her body was found at a dock at the Wharf Marina in League City.

Police said they were called Wednesday to the marina on Davis Rd. a little after 12:45 p.m. when they found a woman not breathing at one of the docks. Initial signs are she died from a drug overdose, according to the League City Police Department’s Public Information Office.

Medical examiners will be conducting an autopsy for additional information.

Police were previously called to the scene in late May when another woman, Giseslle Salazar-Tapia, 30, was found hanging from one of the piers at the marina. However, in Salazar-Tapia’s case, authorities suspected foul play, which does not appear to be the case in Wednesday’s incident.

Both cases remain under investigation.
