Missing 48-year-old man last seen at Liberty County gas station on June 13

LIBERTY COUNTY, Texas – The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help locating a man who has been missing since June 13.

John “Jug” Burch Jr., 48, of Dayton, was last seen at the Kwik Mart located at FM 1409 and County Road 402.

His family has not seen or heard from him since and say it is unusual for him to disappear for this long without contacting someone in the family.

The sheriff’s office said Burch is known to ride a blue chopper style bicycle with a motor kit attached to it and is also known to ride the bicycle throughout south Liberty County daily.

The sheriff’s office said they have been searching for Burch and have interviewed several people during the last week.

Authorities have not been able to locate Burch and say questions have been raised over whether violence or a criminal act is involved in his disappearance.
