Security guard flees after accidental shooting at N Houston club

Two women were injured early Sunday morning after a security guard’s shotgun accidentally went off inside a crowded north Houston club.

The shooting incident happened at around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday morning at a nightclub on the 400 block of W. Parker in Houston when a security guard accidentally discharged a shotgun.

Preliminary information from the Houston Police Department and Houston Fire Department indicates that the pellets from the shotgun discharge struck two women. One woman sustained minor injuries to her forehead, while the other was injured in the torso. Both women were treated and released at the scene by HFD personnel.

Following the incident, the security guard fled the scene. The club was filled with hundreds of people inside and others waiting to get in when the shooting occurred.

HPD is currently investigating the incident and searching for the security guard involved.
