According to the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office, a multi-agency pursuit was launched with the assistance of the Houston Police Department, Harris Co., and Montgomery Co. Sheriff’s Office.
Officers were chasing a driver in a stolen truck hauling a boat for more than an hour starting on 290 West around 3 a.m. before turning into a perimeter and K-9 search near a bayou just west of the freeway.
The driver later got off the freeway and before taking various routes, speeding between 90 - 120 miles per hour. We’re told the driver also was heading in the opposite direction on the Humble feeder before doing the same on the main lanes of U.S. 59.
Eventually, officers deployed a spike strip between Will Clayton and FM 1960 as the chase continued with the driver going into the wrong distance. The chase ended in a crash around 4 a.m. on the southbound lanes of Eastex Freeway near North Park Dr.

At least one person was taken into custody, it’s unclear if they were the driver or not but investigators say they are still looking for one more person.
No additional information has been shared, as of this writing, but an investigation (and the search for the second individual) continues.
