The Village of Surfside Beach has issued a mandatory evacuation for all recreational vehicles and watercraft in anticipation of approaching Tropical Storm Beryl. Mayor Gregg Bisso announced that the evacuation order applies to all travel trailers, motorhomes, watercraft, and box/utility trailers.

Additionally, all rental companies must remove golf carts and UTVs from the island by 9 a.m. on July 7. The evacuation order aims to ensure the safety of residents and visitors as the hurricane watch continues.

Residents and guests are urged to comply with the evacuation order promptly and make necessary arrangements to leave the area safely. Updates will be provided as the situation develops.
