KPRC 2 reached out to the Houston Zoo to ask where the animals were and whether any of them were impacted by the rain.

They told us that the animals were safe and being taken care of by their team.

Staffers added that the Zoo will also remain closed for Tuesday, July 9.

“The Houston Zoo will remain closed tomorrow, Tuesday, July 9 as we continue to clean up storm debris. Animals were kept safe in their barns and night houses, and a dedicated group of team members continue to provide incredible care for them.”
