Closures and cancellations announced for Wednesday as Houston recovers from Hurricane Beryl

Hurricane Beryl left severe damage across parts of the Houston area this week, and multiple school districts will be keeping their campuses closed on Wednesday.

Wednesday closures

Aldine ISD

Aldine ISD will be closed Wednesday July 10 and Thursday July 11. The district is scheduled to reopen on Monday, July 15.

Conroe ISD

Due to the widespread power outages and to allow time for our community to continue to recover, Conroe ISD will be closed on Wednesday, July 10.

Crosby ISD

Due to continued power outages, Crosby ISD will remain closed for the remainder of the week (Wednesday, July 10 and Thursday, July 11). All student and athletic activities are cancelled. We will plan to resume normal operations on Monday, July 15.

Galena Park ISD

Due to the number of homes and district facilities without power, Galena Park ISD campuses and district offices will remain closed on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. All students and employees should remain at home. Maintenance workers, grounds workers, and custodians should contact their supervisors. We encourage everyone to prioritize their safety and exercise caution when traveling.

Humble ISD

Humble ISD is CLOSED the rest of this week due to power outages and storm clean up. Campuses and buildings will be closed Wednesday - Friday, July 10-12, 2024.

Katy ISD

Due to continued widespread power outages across Katy ISD facilities, district campuses and support buildings will remain closed on Wednesday, July 10. There will be no student programming (with the exception of SACs), professional development or facility rentals from Wednesday, July 10 through Sunday, July 14.

Pasadena ISD

Due to continual power outages across our district and facilities which require continued post-storm cleanup, Pasadena ISD will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, July 10, 2024. However, we will still plan to go forward with the duly posted Special Called Board Meeting at 5 p.m. at the

Pasadena ISD Administration Building 3920 Mickey Gilley Blvd. Pasadena ISD Maintenance and Operations Departments continue to work to ensure our facilities are safe to return. School activities and business offices are expected to resume on Thursday, July11, 2024, unless further notice is given.

The Pasadena ISD Wellness Clinic will be closed tomorrow, July 10, 2024.

Spring Branch ISD

Due to the ongoing power outages and other issues facing our region following Hurricane Beryl, Spring Branch ISD will remain closed tomorrow, Wednesday, July 10, 2024. All summer school programs are canceled and all facilities and offices remain closed. Essential staff and central office staff will be notified by their supervisor.

Willis ISD

Willis ISD schools and offices will remain closed tomorrow, Wednesday, July 10, due to ongoing power outages at several district campuses and facilities.
