Hurricane Beryl left severe damage across parts of the Houston area this week, and multiple school districts and agencies will be keeping their doors closed on Thursday.

Thursday closures
Aldine ISD
Aldine ISD will be closed Thursday July 11. The district is scheduled to reopen on Monday, July 15.
Conroe ISD
Conroe ISD will be closed to the public on Thursday, July 11, but employees scheduled to work will report at their standard time. Supervisors will share additional information as necessary. Conroe ISD student summer programs will resume on Monday, July 15.
Crosby ISD
Due to continued power outages, Crosby ISD will remain closed for the remainder of the week (Thursday, July 11). All student and athletic activities are cancelled. We will plan to resume normal operations on Monday, July 15.
Galena Park ISD
Due to the number of homes and district facilities without power, Galena Park ISD campuses and district offices will remain closed on Thursday, July 11, and Friday, July 12, 2024.
Houston Christian University
Due to the continuing power outage, campus activities are canceled for Thursday, July 11, 2024.
Houston ISD
HISD hopes all our students, staff, and families are safe and well. Due to the effects of Hurricane Beryl, all summer school classes and activities are canceled Thursday, July 11, 2024, and Friday, July 12, 2024. Summer school students will not make up the days missed due to the storm. Summer school will end on July 19, 2024, as planned. All HISD Summer Meal sites are also closed on Thursday July 11 and Friday July 12.
Houston Zoo
We hope everyone is safe after Hurricane Beryl. The Houston Zoo will remain closed through Friday, July 12, as we clear downed trees and make repairs. We’re thrilled to report that all our animals are safe and being well taken care of by our dedicated team.

Humble ISD
Humble ISD is CLOSED the rest of this week due to power outages and storm clean up. Campuses and buildings will be closed Wednesday - Friday, July 10-12, 2024.
Katy ISD
Due to continued widespread power outages across Katy ISD facilities, district campuses and support buildings will remain closed on Wednesday, July 10. There will be no student programming (with the exception of SACs), professional development or facility rentals from Wednesday, July 10 through Sunday, July 14.
Spring Branch ISD
Spring Branch ISD will remain closed Thursday, July 11, 2024, due to the ongoing power, phone, internet and other issues impacting the district and the larger Houston region. All facilities remain closed and summer programs are canceled.
Pearland ISD
Due to continued power outages and sustained damage to Pearland ISD facilities, all campuses and administrative offices will be closed the remainder of the week with an expected opening for Monday, July 15. Stay safe!
Willis ISD
Willis ISD will remain closed tomorrow, Thursday, July 11. Employees should refer to email for more information.
