Suspected drunk driver hits and kills pedestrian in Houston’s south side

A man was struck and killed by a vehicle while walking southbound in Houston’s south side late Saturday night.
The incident happened at 11:57 p.m. at the 8500 block of Mykawa.

According to HPD , the roadway was dark and hard to see, and a northbound pickup truck struck the man, who was possibly in his early to mid-30s.
The driver of the pickup truck stayed at the scene but showed signs of intoxication.
HPD officers are investigating the incident and have not yet released the identities of the victim or the driver.
