1 dead after gunfight possibly due to long valet line outside SW Houston bar

HOUSTON – Authorities are piecing together what led up to a deadly shooting at a southwest Houston bar, where 1 man was killed.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. when Houston police were called to DnD on Richmond Ave. near 610. Based on preliminary details from Lt. Riley, it was said there was a long valet line at the bar when people were getting ready to leave.

At some point, a gunfight erupted between two people.

One unidentified man, who Lt. Riley said was involved in the gunfire exchange, was hit and died at the scene.

Investigators were looking into surveillance video, with assistance from the establishment, but no arrests appear to have been made, as of this writing. Anyone with information on what happened is encouraged to call police or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
