The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office says there is a heavy police presence near Oakhurst Drive as authorities investigate and search for the suspect.

Authorities say it happened around 6:40 p.m. in the 300 block of Raypine Drive. When they arrived, they found a man dead in the road. Witnesses said the suspect shot the man and then fled north through an apartment complex.

The suspect is said to be wearing a black hoodie with white designs, blue pants and a ski mask.

“If you see this individual consider him armed and dangerous and call 911 immediately. Please stay clear of the area to allow police to work. Those in the immediate area, please stay in your homes and keep your doors locked,” the sheriff’s office said.
