With power restored to more than 90% of CenterPoint Energy customers, many people have to restock their fridges, which can be costly.

Thankfully, Kroger and H-E-B are offering some relief.

KROGER

Kroger is helping their customers who are recovering from last week’s storms by offering $10 off a purchase of $100, or more, in a single transaction with the use of their Kroger Plus Card.

Kroger is offering those across the Greater Houston area a discount starting Wednesday to help customers restock after Hurricane Beryl.

Customers can use the Kroger app or visit Kroger.com to load a digital coupon for $10 off of $100 to their Kroger Plus Card.

The discount applies to all products, both perishable and non-perishable (excludes alcohol, tobacco, and gift cards).

Starting July 17 customers can use the Kroger app or visit kroger.com to load the discount/digital coupon to their Kroger Plus Card. The offer can be applied through July 23 to in-store purchases as well as pickup and delivery orders.

H-E-B

H-E-B stores located in Houston and surrounding areas (Golden Triangle, East Texas, Bryan/College Station/Brenham) and select locations along the Gulf Coast (Bay City, El Campo, Edna, Wharton) can save 10% on all frozen food items, including ice.

The discount will automatically be applied to eligible items at the register and only applies to purchases made in-store from Sunday, July 14 through Sunday, July 21.

“At H-E-B, we’re committed to supporting our communities in times of need. Texans across the Houston area and the Gulf Coast were hardest hit by the storm and have been without power for several days,” said Armando Perez, H-E-B Executive Vice President of Houston Food Drug. “We’re in this together with our neighbors, and this discount is a way for us to lend a hand as people begin to regain power and restock their freezers.”
