Texas DPS’ Driver License Offices closed due to worldwide computer outage

HOUSTON – We hope you’re not having to spend your Friday working on your driver’s license because the Texas DPS says its offices are closed due to the worldwide computer outage.

The DPS posted on X it has been forced to close its Driver License Offices (DLOs) across Texas due to the technical issues.

However, the DPS’ IT team is working on resolving and while there is no estimate on when the offices will reopen, Texas residents are encouraged to monitor the DPS’ social media page and website for updates.
