14-year-old boy killed in car in Houston

A 14-year-old boy was found dead after being shot in a car in Houston Saturday.

Officers responded to a report that a person was shot at 8800 Hammerly Blvd at around 12:45 p.m. Saturday.

When units arrived at the scene in a parking lot, they found the teen in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle with a gunshot wound. The boy was unresponsive, and authorities with Houston Fire Department pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

An investigation is underway into the murder of the teen.

A report says that the victim was last seen talking to a Hispanic female. The female was followed by a Hispanic male, who was seen wearing a black hoodie with blue pants and black sandals. The male was also carrying a black and white Nike backpack. Investigators believe the duo was seen running into the apartment complex around the time of the murder.

Family members identified the victim as Abraham Choukair.
