Driver found shot to death after major crash on Eastex Freeway

Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating a major crash that turned fatal early this morning.

Deputies responded to the 11600 block of Eastex Freeway at 5 a.m. following reports of a vehicle crash. Upon arrival, they discovered a Ford Escape on top of the left curb near the freeway feeder road. Inside the vehicle was a man, deceased from multiple gunshot wounds.

The SUV had multiple bullet strikes on the driver’s side door. At this time, there is no indication where the shooting took place.

There is currently no information available regarding a suspect. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting and crash.
