“The HISD Source app is a one-stop destination for news and updates from the District. Users can stay up-to-date with important announcements, events, and stories that impact our schools and community. This app consolidates the information available on the District’s various platforms: HoustonISD.org, the HISD News Blog, the Daily Source newsletter, and social media,” the district said.

The district said the app is a way for the district to connect directly with stakeholders and provide consistent and reliable information and will serve as an educational platform for the bond, back to school updates, and other important initiatives in the months to come.

“The HISD Source app marks a significant step forward in our commitment to transparent and effective communication with our community,” said Alex Elizondo, HISD Chief of Public Affairs and Communications. “We’re excited to offer our families, staff, and community members an easy way to stay informed and connected with HISD anytime, anywhere.”

The app is available in both English and Spanish for download on Apple and Android devices.
