While the grand Opening Ceremony is set for Friday, the excitement is already in full swing with some sports getting a jump start on the action. We know many of you have been asking if KPRC 2 will show a replay of the Paris Opening Ceremonies in prime time on Friday evening, and the answer is YES! Tune in from 6:30-10 p.m. for all the pageantry, the parade of nations, and the breathtaking performances.

2 Houston area Olympians will be competing Wednesday
The opening ceremony might be on Friday, but the Paris Olympics action officially begins today! Two Houston-area Olympians, Orrin Bizer of The Woodlands and Kevon Williams of Houston, will be competing in rugby against host France. Williams, making his second Olympic appearance, and Bizer, debuting in his first, are ready to represent Team USA.
Morocco fans rush field during Olympic soccer opener vs Argentina. Game suspended, goal disallowed
In a dramatic start to the Paris Olympics men’s soccer tournament, Morocco fans stormed the field to protest a late equalizer by Argentina. The match, held at Stade Geoffroy-Guichard in Saint-Etienne, was suspended for nearly two hours with only minutes remaining. After a thorough VAR review, Argentina’s goal was disallowed for offside, securing Morocco’s 2-1 victory. The game resumed briefly before the final whistle, leaving Morocco fans celebrating their hard-fought win.
