HOUSTON, Texas – Harris County Judge Kelli Johnson has presided over hundreds, possibly thousands, cases during her career as 178th judge since being elected in 2016 and again in 2020. According to Johnson’s website, she plans on running for a third term this year.
Recently, Johnson was at the center of some legal trouble, when she was charged with driving while intoxicated last month. And before that, pulled over by a deputy with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Now, this week, KPRC 2 learned that all of Johnsons’ cases in the 178th court have been reassigned indefinitely and her longtime court reporter filed a complaint, saying that the judge was “completely out of control.”
We want to hear from you now, have you ever been inside Johnson’s courtroom, facing legal troubles? If so, how was your experience?
