LIST: High-water locations reported in League City, Dickinson as much of SE Houston under flood warning

Much of SE Houston is under a flash flood warning Friday, officials have already started seeing high-water locations and are encouraging drivers to avoid them.

RIGHT NOW: LIVE RADAR: Heavy storms to move in again Friday morning

League City police officers, for example, currently have Westover Park Ave closed from W Main St to Carlisle Ln due to high water. Also, Maple Leaf Dr from W Main St to Westwood is closed.

  • Other reports of high water on major roadways include:
  • South Shore Blvd from the 6000 block to E FM 518
  • E FM 518 and Louisiana Ave
  • W League City Pkwy from W Walker St to S Gulf Fwy

In Galveston County, authorities in Dickinson have reported flooding along the following streets:

  • HWY 3 from FM 517 to FM 646 & from Hughes south
  • FM 517 @ IH45 & from Termini to Timber
  • Deats Road from Hwy 3 to IH45 & from Nichols to Hwy 3

LIVE RADAR: Heavy storms moving again in SE Houston Friday morning

Unless absolutely necessary, officials are asking people to stay off the roadways. If they need to be on the road, THEN be mindful of driving in high water. Stay safe AND TURN AROUND, DON’T DROWN!
