It’s unclear how everything transpired, and details are limited due to how active police are in their investigation. However, based on the preliminary details shared by Lt. The Houston Fire Department told officers there was an unidentified man found dead in a vehicle’s passenger seat and the driver was the one who alerted them. In other words, the shooting did not occur at the scene, Lt. Izaguirre confirmed, but it’s unclear where it happened and what the motive behind the shooting was.

Lt. Izaguirre also said they have a man detained at the scene but only as a person of interest and will be questioned by homicide detectives. It’s not specified if the person of interest is the driver who first called 911.
