Details are limited, as deputies are in the preliminary stages of their investigation. Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said on X, formerly known as Twitter, that officers were called to the 7400 block of Hollister near Beltway 8 and Sam Houston Tollway.

Cy-Fair FD first was called to the scene, where Sheriff Gonzalez said they found an unidentified man’s body, possibly in his 20s. Initially, the injuries were only described as “obvious signs of trauma” and had what appeared to be gunshot and stab wounds.

It’s unclear how the man’s body got there but detectives are looking to find out if he was killed there or brought afterward, but there are shell casings in the parking lot. There is also good surveillance video in the area that authorities will be looking through.
