15-year-old boy accused of stabbing 62-year-old woman to death in northwest Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A 15-year-old boy has been taken into custody and is charged with murder in connection to the stabbing death of a 62-year-old woman.

The incident happened on July 21 in the 20800 block of Sunshine Meadow Drive near Waller Tomball Road.

Upon arrival, they found Dana Magnuson, 62, had been stabbed multiple times in the backyard. Magnuson died from her injuries. She was described as an active community member and beloved by those who knew her.

On Monday, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez announced a 15-year-old was arrested in connection to Magnuson’s death. The teenager is in custody at the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center.

The name of the teenage suspect has not been released.
