It happened around 1 a.m. on Atascocita and Wilson Rd. in northeast Harris County when officers with Humble PD and deputies with Harris Co. Sheriff’s Office were called to a two-vehicle crash. In one of the vehicles, an Uber driver had a family of 5 while the other vehicle was only occupied by the driver.

Preliminary information shared by HCSO’s Vehicular Crimes Division is that the unidentified driver ran a red light, hitting the Uber driver and the family he was faring. Emergency responders rushed the Uber driver and the family to a hospital, while the driver who ran the red light died at the scene.
