It happened around 11:45 p.m. on Idaho and Scott St. off 610. That’s where officials say an unidentified undercover officer was monitoring a group of men when at least one of them shot at his vehicle before running away.

Police then set up a perimeter to find the gunman and at last check, a couple of men have been detained for questioning but HPD is working to find out if they had anything to do with the shooting.

No additional information has been shared, as of this writing, but an investigation and search for the gunman continues.
