Details are limited, but it all happened around 11:30 p.m. when DPS troopers with Montgomery County say an unidentified driver fled during a traffic stop. A brief chase ensued that ended on Hwy 249 and Compaq Center Dr., where the driver’s SUV flipped and landed on its side in the middle of the freeway.
The driver’s passenger, an unidentified woman, was ejected from the SUV and was rushed to a hospital in serious condition. So was the driver, who was only described as an unidentified man. A third individual was taken in stable condition but their identity wasn’t disclosed either.
It’s unclear what charges the driver will face, as of this writing, but officials say the roadways will be cleared before rush hour traffic.
KPRC 2 will continue to track this story and make updates as more information becomes available.
