RICHMOND, Texas – Authorities are piecing together what may be a deadly home invasion Thursday night in Fort Bend County. A man was found shot to death inside the home.

Details are limited, so it’s unclear how everything transpired but based on preliminary information shared by Fort Bend Co. Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called a little before 9:15 p.m. When they arrived, they found a 39-year-old unidentified man dead at a home in the 8000 block of Rippling Stream Ln., off Hwy 90 and near West Park Tollway.

Preliminary signs uncovered during the investigation indicate this may have been a home invasion, officials said. Investigators later shared that there were other family members in the home (his wife and two children. However, no one else was reported injured and it’s unclear if anyone is in custody.
