According to authorities, Mouton—who was 16 at the time—lured Mack to an apartment complex near Lamar High School, where Mack was shot at least seven times, execution-style.
Mouton was tried as an adult in the case.
According to prosecutors, Mouton was texting one of the men who is accused of killing Mack. She and another girl were walking with Mack near the complex when Mouton abandoned them just before two men drove up and opened fire, prosecutors said.
Kendrick Johnson was sentenced to life in prison in 2021 in connection to Mack’s death.
Authorities said the shooting was a targeted attack and part of an ongoing gang war between rival groups: the 100 Percent Third Ward or 103, and the Young Scott Block, or YSB.
