An auto-pedestrian accident Wednesday morning in west Houston has left one man dead and caused much of the highway to be temporarily closed.
It happened on Hwy 6 near Bellaire Boulevard, where details are limited as the investigation is ongoing, as of this writing. This, was after an unidentified man died after he was hit by a vehicle.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez announced via Twitter that the driver involved in the stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities, so it’s unclear if they will face any charges. The southbound lanes at Bellaire Boulevard and State Highway 6 are closed temporarily to allow for the investigation.
The circumstances leading to the crash are still under investigation by the HCSO. Drivers are also advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes to prevent delays.
