PARIS – Breaking has officially made its Olympic debut.
Friday was competition day for the B-Girls. Sadly, neither woman from Team USA made it out of the round-robin stage.

Saturday, it’s the men’s turn.
One of the most renowned B-Boys from Team USA is from Alief. His name is Jeffrey Louis, also known as B-Boy Jeffro.
10 THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT B-BOY JEFFRO
1. He went to University of Houston, where there is a breaking program.
2. He was exposed to breaking as a kid at a southwest Houston recreation center for inner city kids.
3. He was introduced to breakdancing by his older brother. They have traveled the world competing together.
4. He has been getting a lot of recognition in recent world competitions, winning silver for Team USA.
5. Surprisingly, when he learned “Breaking” would be an Olympic sport in 2024, his first reaction was not competing or winning. He just wanted to be a part of it.
6. When we talked to him in April, he had 17.5K followers on Instagram. As of this writing, he now has 22.3K followers.
7. His parents originally didn’t want him to be a breakdancer.
8. He wants to be a role model for the younger generation.
9. He has been dancing for 17 years.
10. He went to Westside High School.
