According to the Houston Police Department, neighbors informed the victim that a black truck or SUV, which matched the description of a vehicle involved in the vandalism of his car, was seen driving slowly through the neighborhood. When the man went outside to check, neighbors heard gunshots.

The man was found shot at the end of the street and attempted to walk back to his house but collapsed before reaching it. His pregnant wife tried to perform CPR, but he succumbed to his injuries.

HPD Lt. R. Willkens said,” He came out by himself. After that, the family and the neighbors, everybody heard gunshots. They came outside and he came up from the edge of the street. He was at the very end of the street here at the intersection, walked up covered in blood, and collapsed. They did their best to give him medical attention, but unfortunately he did pass.”

Police are searching for the suspect vehicle and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
