Child hospitalized after getting hit by car in south of Houston

HOUSTON – Police are looking into what led up to a child getting hit by a car Tuesday morning in south of Houston.

Details are limited so it’s unclear how everything unfolded but the Houston Police Department says it was called around 7:40 a.m. to the 8000 block of Cambridge St. at El Paseo St., near NRG Park.

That’s where police said a child was hit by a car and rushed to the hospital.

It’s unclear what condition the child was in or if any charges are pending but KPRC 2 will continue to track this story and make updates as more information becomes available.
