Police chase of carjacking suspect with child in car ends at Katy Buc-ee’s

KATY, Texas – A police chase with a carjacking suspect has ended in Katy Wednesday afternoon.

Texas DPS said there was a child in the vehicle that was carjacked at an unknown location. The chase ended at the Buc-ee’s in Katy.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office says the child is safe and the suspect has been located and detained. Authorities with the sheriff’s office said the incident is related to a child custody dispute.
