The Galveston Police Department said Grams had called police on Thursday, allegedly in distress, saying he had been pulled too far out while he was kayaking off 11th Street and Seawall Blvd. Grams was never found, but a kayak full of water was recovered.

The Falls County Sheriff’s Office said multiple agencies from Falls, Robertson, and McLennan Counties were involved in the standoff.

It is unclear at this time what crime Grams was wanted for. KPRC 2 has reached out to try and get more information.
