Man just released from Montgomery County Jail steals truck from parking lot, said he was tired of waiting

SHENANDOAH, Texas – A man who had just been released from the Montgomery County Jail found himself back in jail Friday, this time for vehicle theft.

The Shenandoah Police Department said the man stole a truck from the parking lot right after he got out of jail.

Law enforcement sent an alert to be on the lookout for the stolen vehicle and a Shenandoah K9 Officer and his K9 partner “Maui” found the vehicle traveling south on I-45 toward Harris County.

The vehicle was stopped and the man was detained.

When asked why he stole the truck, the man told law enforcement he was tired of waiting at the jail and wanted to go home.

He was taken back to the Montgomery County Jail and charged with vehicle theft.
