NASSAU BAY, Texas – A 89-year-old woman died after the vehicle she was in crashed in front of a hotel in Nassau Bay.

The Nassau Bay Police Department said it happened around 8:45 a.m. Sunday morning at the intersection of Saturn Lane and Space Park Drive in front of the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel.
Police say a black Toyota sedan was traveling south when it failed to stop and collided into concrete benches in the town square area.
The vehicle was driven by a 93-year-old man and the woman was the sole passenger. They were both taken to the hospital.
The woman was pronounced dead at the hospital. The man continues to receive treatment.
It is currently unknown whether the crash was due to a mechanical issue or a medical emergency.
