In this week’s “Missing in Houston,” we spotlight the heart-wrenching case of Angela Marisol Diaz, who has been missing since July 1.

Her father, Edward Diaz, has been tirelessly searching for her, but despite all efforts, including hiring a private investigator and engaging with local authorities, Angela remains missing.

“We have done everything in our power to find her, from speaking to multiple news channels to hiring a private investigator, but she is still missing,” Edward shared.

According to her family, Angela’s phone was last tracked to a wooded area behind the Fitness Connection off I-10 East just a few days after she was reported missing.

Her boyfriend reported that she was last seen around 11:30 p.m. on Monday at the Moonlight Inn and Suites along Gulf Freeway, where she was supposed to meet someone. However, her phone’s last known location was near the wooded area, not the hotel.

Angela was last known to be with her boyfriend, but as the investigation has progressed, inconsistencies in his story have come to light.

“Her boyfriend told us one thing, but then he changed his story,” Edward said. “It’s clear something isn’t right, and it’s terrifying not knowing what really happened.”

The night Angela disappeared, Edward was out of town, but upon learning of her disappearance, he immediately returned to Houston to begin searching. He retraced her steps, driving to every location where her phone last pinged on the night she went missing.

“I haven’t slept. Every time they find a body, it’s nerve-racking... we just want to bring her home,” Edward said, describing the overwhelming anxiety that has consumed him since Angela’s disappearance.

The case, now an active investigation with the Houston Police Department, has left the family clinging to hope that someone, somewhere, might hold the key to bringing Angela back home.

“The police have told us very little because it’s an open investigation,” Edward explained, expressing frustration over the lack of updates.

“Angela always kept in touch, even if just to say she was okay. It’s terrifying that we haven’t heard from her at all,” Edward said, highlighting the unusual and alarming silence from his daughter. “I haven’t slept properly since she went missing. Every time the news reports about a body being found, my heart stops. I just want her to come home.”

The family has also faced challenges with the information they’ve received.

“Please, if anyone knows anything, help us. We’re running out of options and time,” Edward pleaded, hoping that someone might come forward with information that could help bring Angela home.

Angela is described as a 22-year-old female, 5′7″ tall, weighing 135 lbs, with brown eyes, black hair, and a light brown complexion. She has distinctive tattoos, including one on her hand and a key tattoo under her ears.

The Houston Police Department continues to investigate the case, but for Edward and his family, the wait is agonizing. Their plea to the public is simple: if anyone has any information about Angela’s whereabouts, now is the time to speak up.
