Authorities hold press conference seeking leads in 2021 Baytown vigil shooting

Nearly three years after a deadly shooting at a Baytown vigil, investigators are appealing to the community for new leads as they host a press conference today.

On Monday, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Division and Crime Stoppers will host a press conference at 10 a.m. at the Crime Stoppers of Houston Building to seek the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects responsible for the tragic murder of 25-year-old Disha Allen.

What happened?

On December 12, 2021, during a candlelight vigil in Baytown, a dark-colored sedan drove by a gathering of about 50 people on North Market Loop and fired over 20 shots into the crowd. Disha Allen was killed, and 13 others were injured in the senseless attack. Despite extensive investigations, the case remains unsolved.
