A Houston man has been arrested in connection to the car burglaries that occurred in Pearland early Wednesday morning.
David Gustavo Granados, 21, has been charged with burglary of a vehicle for his suspected role in the car break-ins. He was arrested during a traffic stop Thursday morning after being seen driving the black Toyota Camry that was captured on camera during the crime.

This isn’t Grandos’s first run-in with the law. He was arrested in Houston in both 2021 and 2022 on felony charges related to unauthorized use of vehicles. In the 2021 arrest, he was also charged with evading arrest in a vehicle.
Last night on KPRC 2 News at 10, reporter Bryce Newberry interviewed a Pearland man who was met with gunfire from the same group of car thieves while he was walking his dog Wednesday morning and stumbled upon their crimes.
KPRC 2 reached out to Pearland Police Department to see if Granados was involved in the shooting. The department said they are still investigating and trying to identify the other suspects involved in that incident, and it remains unclear who fired the shots.
The same black Camry was also linked to at least seven additional car burglaries in the West Ranch subdivision about an hour before the Pearland crimes. KPRC 2 reached out to Friendswood Police Department for an update on their investigation, but they said they have no further information at this time.
