CHANNELVIEW, Texas – Fire officials say a 60-year-old man was found dead after a fire in Channelview.
At approx. 11:09 Channelview FD was called to a fire at a mobile home in the 16200 block of 2nd Street.

60 year old male was found deceased in the home. There are no other injuries reported.

It happened Sunday just after 11 a.m. in the 16200 block of 2nd Street in Channelview.
The Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office said firefighters with the Channelview Fire Department responded to the scene and found the man dead inside the mobile home. No one else was hurt in the fire.
The Fire Marshal’s Office said the fire was determined to have started behind a refrigerator in the kitchen.
It is also believed the fire was the result of an electrical failure with the appliance cord.
