It happened around 11:40 p.m. when deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office were called to Cozumel Apartments on Sierra Blanca off Westpark Tollway.
The initial call to their dispatch was for an auto-pedestrian accident but when officers arrived, found an unidentified man in his 40s with gunshot wounds.

It’s unclear what led up to the shooting, but witnesses reported seeing two men running from the car he was in shortly after he was shot.
