HOUSTON – Authorities in southwest Houston are piecing together what led up to a man’s death Monday morning after he was found dead on the sidewalk.

It happened a little before 4 a.m. when officers with the Houston Police Department were called to a shooting on W Bellfort.
When they arrived, along with the Houston Fire Department, investigators found an unidentified man dead on the sidewalk.
Homicide detectives were called to the scene and were at last check, working to find where the shooting first took place.
