Person found dead after reports of gunshots, vehicle crashing into parked cars in Dickinson

DICKINSON, Texas – Police in Dickinson are investigating after a person was found dead Sunday afternoon.

The Dickinson Police Department said officers responded to the area of Greenlee Drive and Timber Drive at approximately 3:19 p.m. in reference to a weapons offense.

When they arrived, they were told gunshots had been heard in the area and a vehicle had crashed into parked cars in a driveway on Timber Drive..

Officers found a person that they said was unresponsive at the scene. EMS arrived and the person was declared to be deceased. Authorities haven’t said if the person was a man or a woman. They also haven’t said if the person was shot.

The Galveston County Sheriff’s Office as well as the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office are at the scene investigating as well.

No suspects have currently been identified.
