Woman dies after crashing into disabled trailer in west Houston

A woman has died after her car crashed into a disabled trailer in west Houston Wednesday night.

The collision occurred at around 9:45 p.m. at 7400 Memorial Dr. A 62-year-old woman driving a black Ford Explorer SUV crashed into the back of a commercial truck carrying a trailer.

The truck carrying the trailer was reportedly disabled, and its driver was not in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

The woman driving the SUV was found to be traveling over the speed limit. She sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman’s identity has not been released at this time.
