The constable’s office said the two were taken to a hospital for treatment. Authorities said the child has face and arm wounds, but the injuries are considered minor.

Authorities say the woman had a “bad bite” but it is not considered life-threatening.

The dog was enclosed and animal control is on the scene to take it into custody.

“PSA please leash your dogs. Even dogs that are off leash trained should be on a leash when in public spaces. This is for the safety of everyone. An unleashed dog approaching can make dogs and people uncomfortable,” the constable’s office said.
