Officials are now laying out a timeline of when the work will be done to repair those panels.

The work will be dependent on the weather, but officials hope the first of the two panels will be repaired before the Houston Texans’ season home opener against the Chicago Bears on Sunday, Sept. 15.

The second roof panel is expected to be fully repaired before the Texans’ home game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sept. 29.

“Guest safety remains our top priority. We appreciate the patience and support of our guests as we work diligently to restore the stadium roof to its full operational capacity,” NRG Park said in a statement.
