‘I’m going to be alright’: Mattress Mack in the hospital for ‘cognitive’ issues

Members of the community are sending well wishes to local icon and businessman, Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale, who said he is recovering from “cognitive” issues.

McIngvale posted on social media Saturday that he was being treated at the emergency room at St. Luke’s hospital in the Texas Medical Center.

From his hospital bed, McInvale said he was having “trouble with cognitive things”.

But McInvale reassured supporters, and said he is, “going to be alright.” And in true businessman fashion, he used the video to promote his Labor Day Super Sale and encouraged folks to head on down to Gallery Furniture, saying it’s the “best way” for you to make him feel better!

As of this writing the video has received over 10,000 likes and has been shared over 1,000 times across X and Facebook.

We have reached out to a spokesperson for Mattress Mack for an update on his health but have not heard back yet.
