SEABROOK, Texas – The Seabrook Police Department says the body of a missing man was found in the water at a yacht club Wednesday evening.
The department said they were contacted by the Memorial Village Police Department at approximately 7:12 p.m. after a man reportedly did not return home after visiting the Lakewood Yacht Club.

Officers from the Memorial Village Police Department said the man’s phone was still pinging in the vicinity of his boat.
Seabrook officers arrived at the yacht club and found the man’s boat. They saw his phone and other personal belongings on the dock by the boat, but the man was not on the boat or found in the area.
Officers became concerned the man may have fallen into the water and the Harris County Dive Team was called out to the scene at 8:20 p.m.

At approximately 10:46 p.m., the dive team recovered the man’s body from the water near the boat. The Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office was contacted and the body positively identified as that of the missing man.
“The Seabrook Police Department extends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased during this difficult time. While no foul play is suspected, the investigation remains ongoing pending the Medical Examiner’s report,” the department said.
