Large trash fire at metal recycling plant in NW Houston causes multiple road closures

HOUSTON, Texas – The Cy-Fair Fire Department is working to put out a large trash fire at a metal recycling plant in northwest Houston on Thursday morning.

Firefighters were called to the 12200 block of FM 529 to battle the fire early Thursday morning but it’s not clear what time the fire broke out.

Fire officials are asking drivers to avoid the area due to multiple road closures including 29, Fairview, and Wright Road.
