Now the rain is moving out, and a cool front is moving in, giving us an ideal Saturday and Sunday with low humidity and mornings in the 60s.

We’ve put together some ideas so you can make the most of this cool weekend weather!

1. Patio Brunch

2. Market Square Park Farmers Market

A favorite among food-conscious locals, the Market Square Park Farmers Market is officially back open on Sept. 7.

Stroll among the stalls at Houston’s oldest organic and sustainable food co-op, spotlighting local growers selling fresh fruits, vegetables, proteins, prepared meals, as well as household goods.

This free and family-friendly event will be held every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Nov. 16.

3. Japan Festival Houston

Experience one of Houston’s largest cultural events, the Japan Festival, at Hermann Park. This free, family-friendly festival features traditional and contemporary Japanese music, martial arts demonstrations, interactive displays, cultural performances, and more. Celebrate the rich contributions of Japan’s culture with a weekend full of exciting activities. Happening from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

4. Free Formula 1 racing exhibition, DJ battle with Paul Wall hosted at Discovery Green in Houston

Red Bull is holding a FREE, family-friendly Formula One racing exhibition in downtown Houston this Saturday, Sept. 7.

The event will be for one day only, but it’ll be one to remember because a DJ battle will also take place during a special intermission as part of Red Bull’s Turn It Up showcase.
