GALVESTON, Texas – With Tropical Storm Francine approaching, Galveston Island Beach Patrol has issued a red flag warning, urging beachgoers to exercise extreme caution.

Chief Peter Davis advises that adult swimmers should not go into the water above their waist, while children and non-swimmers should remain on shore.
